EAOP provides students, families and educators with information to make the most of the college preparation years. It also provides targeted workshops to help students and families navigate the complex college application process.*
UC PREP
At this annual event, EAOP seniors receive individual, hands-on assistance with completing the UC Application for Undergraduate Admission and participate in workshops on financial aid and college life. Students meet an admissions officer who evaluates the students's transcript and encourages the student to apply to those UC campuses that meet the student's interests.
College Application / Essay Workshops
These workshops clearly explain to students how to write an effective personal statement and fill out the other sections of the UC and CSU applications, as well as provide assistance with independent college applications.
Campus Visits
EAOP students visit UC campuses, where they meet current undergraduates, graduate students and faculty, explore campus facilities, and learn about campus life and academic majors.
Financial Aid Workshops
Families who attend EAOP's financial aid workshops receive individual assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
College: Making it Happen
These annual events for middle school families provide important pre-college planning and motivation strategies.
Parent Conferences and Family College Planning Workshops
These local events bring parents and educators together to help families navigate the pre-collegiate years successfully.
Educator Conferences and Consulting
EAOP advisors explain UC admissions changes and provide educators with valuable assistance in updating a-g course lists and submitting a-g courses for review.
