"The Magic School Bus trip took us up to UC Santa Barbara and down to UC San Diego. I was able to take classes like real college students, eat in a cafeteria, meet new people, go to the library, live in a dorm. At first, I was scared, but the supervisors and mentors made me feel welcome." |
EAOP's four core services are key to the program's successes.
Academic Advising
EAOP specializes in individual and group academic advising that helps students stay motivated and on-track to complete the 'a-g' college-preparatory courses unique to each high school and required for UC and CSU admission. More on Academic Advising...
Academic Enrichment
Through academic enrichment services such as intensive workshops and summer courses, EAOP students improve basic skills, master advanced high school curriculum, and have the opportunity to engage in the intellectual life of the University through study and research. More on Academic Enrichment...
Entrance Exams
SAT and ACT preparation workshops familiarize students with test formats, study strategies, and test-taking tips, and in-depth classes provide test-taking strategies and extensive practice with verbal and mathematics questions. More on Entrance Exams...
College Knowledge

| "From offering assistance with applications and financial aid to summer programs, tutoring, and individual work with students and families, the EAOP program has made it possible for many, many students first to conceive of the dream of attending UC and then to realize that dream by being accepted to the university." ~ Brian McKibben, High School Network administrator on special assignment, Oakland Unified School District |
