Student Selection Criteria

To be enrolled in EAOP, a student must meet at least ONE of the following criteria.

For a list of schools served by EAOP go to http://www.appris.org. If you are interested in participating in the EAOP program, call the campus office in your geographic area.

Criteria	Measure

1. Low family income	Eligibility for UC application fee waiver Eligibility for the Free or Reduced Price lunch program Federal guidelines

2. Attending a school with limited college prep curriculum	School has four or fewer AP Courses, and school does not have at least one AP course in each of these areas: Math Science English Language other than English

3. The first in one's family to attend college (first generation)	The custodial parent does not have a baccalaureate degree from a US school or equivalent; and/or neither parent has a baccalaureate degree from a US school or equivalent.

4. Residence in a community with low college-going rates	Less than state average by school district.

5. Attending a school with below-average SAT/ACT exam scores	School average SAT I/ACT test scores are below the 50th percentile for California schools

6. Particpant in a Community-Based Organization (CBO) serving low-income communities and/or communities with low college-going rates	Less than state average by school district.
